Privacy

What this site knows about you.

Very little, on purpose. Here is the whole picture, in plain words.

Visits

This site measures visits with Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool: how many people came, which pages they read, roughly where from. No cookies, no personal identifier, nothing that follows you elsewhere. Your IP address is used for a fraction of a second to count you once and is never stored.

The newsletter

When you subscribe to Vertigo, your email address goes to Substack, which runs the newsletter. From that moment Substack is responsible for it, under its own privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe from any edition in one click. The signup box on the Vertigo page is loaded by Substack.

Booking a call

The call booking runs on Cal.com, which handles the name and email you give it under its own policy. I see what you enter and nothing more.

Email

If you write to mat@matdufour.com, your message stays in my mailbox and is used to answer you. I do not add anyone to a list.

Coaching clients

Everything that happens in a coaching or organisational engagement is covered by a separate written agreement and is confidential, including from whoever is paying. Nothing from that work is on this site.

What the site itself stores

One thing: if you dismiss the small subscribe bar at the bottom of a page, the site remembers that choice in your browser for sixty days so it does not ask again. You can clear it from your browser settings at any time. Fonts and images are served from this site, so your browser talks to no third party on a normal visit.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you (almost certainly nothing), have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by writing to mat@matdufour.com. Under the GDPR you can also complain to a data protection authority. The person responsible for this site is Mat Dufour, Via Santa Lucia 10, 24030 Mozzo (BG), Italy, VAT number IT 04734320163.
